Jake Kuhn 1,579 #1 Posted October 27, 2012 hey guys, my dad had this rj come in the lot with the pulleys switched on it. We couldn't resist not driving it like that to see how fast it is. I would say it goes at least 25 maybe a little faster. We probably won't keep it like this so we don't ruin the trans, but it sure is fun! Here's a couple of pictures and a video. ~Jake http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee470/jakekuhn/?action=view¤t=DSCN0521.mp4

rmaynard 16,344 #4 Posted October 27, 2012 I think that is little faster than the 6 MPH listed in the owners manual. The previous owner must not have liked to cut grass and wanted that chore over with as fast as possible.

Jake Kuhn 1,579 #6 Posted October 27, 2012 I think that is little faster than the 6 MPH listed in the owners manual. The previous owner must not have liked to cut grass and wanted that chore over with as fast as possible. the previous owner raced mowers so thats why I understand it being like that :)
Racinbob 11,978 #7 Posted October 27, 2012 Cool! I did that once years ago on about a 60 model. The steering gets a but hairy at those speeds but it's a lot of fun.
CasualObserver 3,411 #8 Posted October 27, 2012 sheesh... steering has to be scary... RJs turn fast to begin with. one quick jerk of the wheel and you could literally throw yourself off!
Brian K WheelHorse 28 #9 Posted October 27, 2012 LOL - you could leave for work late and still make it on time on that thing - awesome!
Rooster 192 #10 Posted October 29, 2012 "the PO races mowers...." Jake, that's a major understatement. The PO is this years USLMRA B/P class champion. (that's the really REALLY fast class) , is the only man to race at every single Sta-Bil national finals -that's 21 of them! Was on the team that helped Bobby Cleveland set the world land speed record of over 98 mph on a lawn mower. Has been inducted to the United States Lawn Mower Racing hall of fame. Has won the All American Mower Racing Chsmpionship numerouse times . To top it all off he is one of the best guys around! To beat the entire field by a lap is known as a "Chuckin' " That " previous owner" was Chuck Miller, one of if not THE best known and top competitors in Lawnmower Racing! All the ladies love him and all the guys envy him!!! Ohh, yeah I'm a fan.... Just kinda lol.
