Lux Man 1 #1 Posted October 24, 2012 The timing push rod for the Kohler K301 according to the spec. is supposed to be 1.55" in length. At what length should they be replaced as they wear? I could not find the answer to that in the manual.

Lux Man 1 #3 Posted October 25, 2012 I'm sorry - the push rod that I am referring to is the one that operates the points. I think what you are referring to is the valve-to-tappet clearance.
rmaynard 16,343 #4 Posted October 25, 2012 My guess would be that you would need to change it if you can no longer set the correct points gap.
