groundhog47 347 #1 Posted October 24, 2012 Saw on a site a rebuilt/remanufactured PTO clutch disc . Has anyone ever refaced their PTO clutch. I see where you can buy the rivets and material in squares. It appears the facing also has a bonding/adhearing agent. Yes was lookin' at their material today, already have the brake liner on my get list along with rivets and other stuff. Maybe use a hole saw to cut the center hole, then glue and rivet it on and grind the outside edge off or hack saw it off ????? dsholler 54 #7 Posted October 25, 2012 Dunno if this is relevant, but my PTO clutch was slipping and I was thinking I would have to reface the disk. What I discovered was grease from the bearing in the pulley had gotten all over it. A little brake cleaner (and replacing all the stuff inside the pulley) and it works fine now. Could you cut it with a hole saw in a drill press? Yes I believe that is possible with one of the expandable circle cutters. The material may allow band saw cutting. Thanks, Jake Jake, I don,t need the clutch at this time, but once it went to metal (back in 80's) b4 knew anthing about WH. Don't want to get caught in that situation again. Saw where someone was selling a refurbished clutch disc and thought someone might have done this. Wish that had been my prob,mine was metal to metal (back in 80's). Just lookin'for an out just in case. I regularly watch the adjustment, now.
