D series snow plow attachment

I have a 18 automatic with a 3 point hitch.

I found a snowplow that I believe went with it, It was in the same barn I found the tractor in.

Does it attach to the rear axle just like the shorter Plows that go on the smaller tractors?

I did not find any brackets

But if it does require the same brackets as the smaller tractors, then I would have to remove the 3 point hitch to put on the plow brackets?

Anyone that has a D series with a 3 point hitch that also uses a plow, please help me out on this

Maybe I just need to find another bracket to hang the plow from the axel.... not sure

there is a bracket that goes to the axle that attaches the plow. it will bolt on the front of the uprights that holds the axle to the main frame, also i believe the pivoit points for the lower arms go in the same area and no you dont need to remove the 3 point arms.

My D has the 3 pt and the plow bracket on at the same time. I believe you can pick up the proper bracket from one of our members or even ebay. Will try and get pix and post for you at half time.

When I compare it to my C120 plow set up, there is no way the brakcets will go on the 18auto because the 3 point hitch brackets go right where the brakets go on the C120

oh so the bracket is not like the ones on the smaller tractors

this bracket bolts around the axel and through the 3 point hitch brackets.

I will sweep that up soon as I run the tractor a little more make sure there are no bugs.

Its still running a lil rough
