Kohler Large frame?

Recommended Posts

I see members referring to large frame engines. What is the difference between large frame and "small" frame?

Large footprint engines vs. small footprint. The large footprint is the same as a small footprint as far as the power is concerned. The difference is the oil pan. The smaller pan is used in the tractors that feature a cradle mount. Has nothing to do with the frame.

I think Tecumseh is the only engine that uses the term large frame small frame when talking about engines.
