Todd 2 #1 Posted October 19, 2012 Change the oil and filter the other day,cut the grass no problem .Mulched some leaves up today then my oil light came on.Havent check anything yet will do that saturday.Hopfully its a loose connection.Think i have about 4th to half quart of to much oil in it also not sure if that would have anything to with it .Might be someting clogged since i did seafoam the engine the other day since the oil hasent been change since 96'./fuse/wiring/indicator dash.Used a somewhat bigger oil filter the Napa one would that have anything to do with it ? meaning pressure?? sorekiwi 761 #3 Posted October 20, 2012 Welcome to Red Square. I assume you are talking about an Onan? on a 520H? I use the NAPA (Wix) filterson mine, and normally use the tall one. I would take a look at the wiring first,particularly at the 9 pin connector. If all that looks OK, you'll have to pull the shrouds and look at the wiring down to the switch. Then I'd check or replace the switch, or maybe even plug in a cheap oil pressure gauge to see what you have. If you indeed do have low oil pressure the motor will sieze or break a rod, so you do need to find out what is going on. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
