Lux Man 1 #1 Posted October 18, 2012 Just about a week ago I had posted a question about a C-160 for sale locally, well we decided against it, however today we brought this C-120 home. Pictured is my 13 yr. old who loves tractors and fixing them. This is his tractor bought with his money. He has his lawn care business in the neighborhood and saved up his $$, however for that he has a 52" Toro walk behind. He bought this -"just because". Well you can see by his grin he is a happy new WH owner. It didn't run when we were at the sellers home but I figured we'd get it going. The good news is, it was running just about an hour after this picture was taken. Turned out the seller had the wiring reversed in a couple spots. Do you like that straight pipe? We did too--so much-- that on the way home we picked up a new muffler. The tranny worked great and though the picture didn't capture it, it did come with a 42" deck and a snow-thrower. It was a 6-3211 which is for a Lawn Ranger but maybe this ones been fitted for a C tractor. We'll be looking into that in the next day or so. I'm sure it will be just a matter of time before he's talking about doing some sand blasting and painting.

rmaynard 16,346 #4 Posted October 18, 2012 You can't go wrong with a C-120. Plenty of power, easy to repair, and everyone will hear him coming with that straight pipe on there instead of a muffler. :wicked:

Ken B 3,189 #9 Posted October 18, 2012 That is awesome! It is great to see that while most kids these days are glued to their X-boxes after school and on the weekends there are still some kids like yours who are willing to do some hard work. I have two boys aged 17 and 10. Jesse, my 17 yr. old is lukewarm with the tractor hobby. He did go to tractor shows with me when he was younger and he did enjoy it. My 10 yr. old son Cole is a fanatic. He already has two tractors that he has helped pay for and work on. Once you and your son get his C-120 up and going so its 100.% reliable he'll be able to make plenty of money clearing snow, you guys get plenty of it! Well I'm 16, and I absolutely love these tractors, as well as cars and I pride myself in being conversant about these subjects. I love to hear about more kids like me in these regards. When I tell guys at school about Wheel Horse they just look at me funny and say "a tractor? What?" But congrats on the tractor, I'm sure your son will love it.

SousaKerry 503 #16 Posted October 19, 2012 I have a 17 year old step son who has plenty of opportunity and occasionally shows some interest but would rather talk on the cell phone and text people then work on a tractor. I have a rule that no cell phones are allowed when working on tractors although it is nearly impossible to enforce. I am hoping to have more luck with my son who is now 8 and drove his first tractor solo at age 4 Have fun with that tractor new tractor sure wish I had a wheel horse at 13, all I had were Alice Chalmers B-110's
