Ken B 3,189 #2 Posted October 18, 2012 I don't know what its worth, but I do think it is worth getting. I have seen the shower cap mufflers like it has on it fetch a good buck on Ebay.
VinsRJ 723 #3 Posted October 18, 2012 The verticle shaft motor IMO are worthless... The horozontal shaft motor is worth effort. The no compression could be a stuck valve.

No such thing as a worthless Clinton! The vertical shaft engines make great ice cream !!
evanloock 236 #5 Posted October 18, 2012 The horizontal engine appears to be an A300. They were unusual in that the carb and exhaust were on opposite sides of the engine. They had valve adjustment chambers on opposite sites of the engine as well....one for the exhaust under the muffler and one for the intake under the carb. MarkPalmer 81 #6 Posted October 18, 2012 Any of the cast iron Clintons are worth getting and taking a look at. It may or may not be worth rebuilding depending on condition, but always worth pulling the head to see. I am working on a basket case '46 700A right now, I haven't decided if it's worth doing anything with as it needs to be bored .020 over and the intake valve guide is badly worn. If I decide against it I'll sell off the parts that are good/useable- always an option on any used engine you pick up. -Mark-
