Welcome to Red Square.

You havent told us what engine you are working on, and I assume you mean your bore is worn .008-.010" oversize?

If you are unfamiliar with doing engine work (or even if you are familiar with it) you need to read the manual. Kohler Tecumseh and Onan manuals are available for download on this site.

The manual will give you max tolerances for the bore. Numbers for max wear, out of round and taper.

If you have .008 to .010" of wear, a new piston and rings will not help you. You need to get the block bored out to suit an oversize piston and rings. It will probably cost you around $50.

UMMMM yeah what he said. Get the specs of the engine and match it up otherwise you are in for a much bigger problem...

No offense but if you are asking that question I would find someone to help you who has done it before.
