MaineDad 86 #1 Posted July 24, 2008 Hey guys, The gas tank on my C-160 had some sort of putty around the shut off valve to keep it from leaking. Well it still leaks very slowly so I decided to take the tank off and check things out. The tank is fine and so is the shut off valve. However, there is no gromet (maybe wrong word) that the shut off valve goes into. The PO just put some putty to hold it on the tank. Does anyone know the part number for the piece that goes between the tank and the valve? Thanks,

Duff 206 #5 Posted July 25, 2008 3$ says he pulled those numbers from memory. Could very well be, but it seems all the great "masters" have some well guarded secrets in their bags of tricks - like an incredibly parts cross-referencing program where you plug in a number and the compuker searches the whole world for every part that was ever made that matches. 'course with TT, he may very well have designed the program!!!! Cheers! Duff B)

glenn27 71 #11 Posted July 26, 2008 Napa had one for $1.36 - I love NAPA! Next time you go in there--ask them for a copy of their "smal engine parts catalog"--I got last years from my local NAPA manager..and it's ALMOST as good reading as the current Penthouse (almost) On a serious note--I use a plastic in-line fuel shutoff on everything--and never close that one under the tank.... Sorry-to keep :horseplay: the NAPA deal, but they offer a lot, especially if yoiu dig a little..--and some of these other small shops around just hit/miss--mostly miss with parts and stock, etc.
