fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted October 4, 2012 how is this 11hp briggs in power compared to say a kohler 10-12hp?.
joel_400 59 #2 Posted October 5, 2012 Might be comparable to a ten kohler due to the shorter stroke of the ten vs twelve kohler...I dont think it will really compare to the twelve kohler for all out performance though. In stock form I havent seen a ten that holds a candle to the longer stroke of the 12, 14,16. I have a buddy that pulls a ten briggs on a sears and hes always complaining that he cant get the ground speed i get with my 12 kohler, i just try to explain to him that he doesnt have the torque the kohler makes. Sooner or later he will get it! Haha Im not sure what the stroke of the ten and eleven briggs is but other than some old wisconsins its hard to beat kohlers stroke. joel_400 59 #4 Posted October 5, 2012 You will definitely have enough for pushing snow. Ive never even bogged my ten that i push snow with. Biggest problem pushing snow ive ever had was traction! With a set if wheel wieghts and chains or skinny ag tires you should be able to push more than youd expect. I havent ever pushed with my 7 hp b81 yet but i do believe it would get the job done just as well as any. I will say though that in heavy wet snow the ten really doesnt like a blower. Good luck and im sure that you will have fun just seeing how much you can push! Joel
