C-141 automatic and attachments - what're they worth

Need some help with the value of these. Going to an auction and there's the tractor and also listed is a 34" snowblower, two 40" decks and a cab. Saw a pic of the tractor and it looks pretty clean, the decks look ok as does the blower. No pic of the cab. This is the original owner who took care of his stuff. He was a farmer who restored a 1952 Farmall Super C that is really sharp and also up for auction.

What are the capabilities of this tractor? I don't necessarily need it for mowing, I have my 267H and JD 320 for that. Can it plow, front blade etc? What's the value? Thanks in advance for any info.

I really can't help with a value without pics. What I can tell you is that at an auction it will probably sell for much more than its worth anyways.

I'll try to post the pics from the auction website. I agree that folks get caught up in the bidding. I'm hoping that nobody wants an 'old' mower. 😃

As far as its capabilities it is a real work horse, it'll push and or blow PLENTY of snow.

It is a real capable tractor. What I would call one of the bread and butter tractors of Wheel Horse. I use one all the time. It's got plenty of power and can blow and push snow just fine. The biggest question would be is the tranny OK? Those Sunstran transmission are strong until they get wear than a whole slew a problems can develop. Very costly to work on and that's if you can find parts.

Thanks for the capability info. The tranny is my biggest concern. I've got a Sunstrand in my JD 320 and have had no issues with it. Have pulled my 267H out of the ditch, dragged concrete pads and mowed up and down the ditch sides and the tranny has never complained. Hopefully I can test drive it before the auction. What's the best way to check it?

I'm hoping it runs as good as it looks in the pic. I really like the looks of the old school style.

Thanks again for the info.

Run it make sure you can get the transmission warm. If you can find a hill or slope or someway to put a pull on the tranny. Some way to make the transmission work. Forward and reverse. If you can look at the fluid check for the burnt smell. Sometimes just the overall appearance of the tractor will tell you if it has had proper use and maintenance. Look at the filter to see if it has been changed recently or in some case I have seen never even been changed. Good Luck hope it turns out in your favor.

Well, went to the auction today. As expected, too much for the tractor. It was started right before it sold. Started good, no smoke. But no chance to drive it. The tin was in good shape with no rust, it had the hyd lift too. It sold for $775 without a deck. The two decks were in good shape and the guy who bought the tractor bought the decks. The snow cab was in great shape as was the blower. Same guy bought those and the snow blade. All the belts and lifting attachments were included with the tractor.

Oh well, I'll settle for a new lawn sweeper instead. Two tractors are enough right now, maybe.

I think even if I could have test ran it, $775 without a deck was alot. I'm no WH expert, but that just was too much imo.

Rock farmer

It's hard to let something go.

But sounds like that guy paid full retail. Plus some.

You'll find a better deal! Just have to be patient.

Way too much, especially if it can't be tested. That's why I hate auctions. Never been to one yet that someone didn't drive the price up way out of line.
