jay in nc 210 #3 Posted September 30, 2012 that is a commando 800 38 in rear discharge decks were popular. it should have a k181 kohler engine. i see it has been swaped to a briggs engine so you will need to get an electric clutch unit because they were not built for the side thrust that a wheelhorse pto setup has. & that you do not have any way. good luck with your new horse Jay Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Tankman 3,523 #4 Posted September 30, 2012 I'll know more tomorrow. If memory serves me, years ago the Horses I had didn't have a PTO. More of a pully with tension to engage the rear discharge mower deck. I actually made a reproduction of the rear discharge deck using 316 SS, then red paint. I did use the casting with two spindles for the blades. 'Course, I'm eager for tomorrow's delivery. I "needed" a fourth Horse for the herd living in my barn.
