littleredrider 409 #1 Posted September 28, 2012 Looking on craigslist for more gems, see an ad for Wheel Horse tractors. I don't really know why I look on there, I don't have a job, don't have any money, just basically torturing myself looking at stuff cause I cant' get it. But clicked on the ad anyway, and saw the guy had a 1045 and some others, wanted a package deal for $500. Called and asked if he would sell just the 1045, and said gimme a couple days, if they all don't sell then it's yours. This was Sunday or Monday, called tonite and said it was mine. Going next Saturday to pick it up. It's mostly a parts tractor, missing the motor, belt guards, seat pan and some misc stuff. But, it has the ONE front tire I'm looking for my mine!!! The hood is good, fenders and dash it good, so if the tranny mount/frame and steering isn't completely hosed, I'll slap an extra k181 on it till I can get a motor for it. I have the oil pan, bearing plate and flywheel for a 1045, just need a blower housing and of course a 10-16 horse engine. Maybe things are starting to turn around for a change. Finally got a job, start Monday. It's literally half of what I was making hourly at my last job, but at least it will pay more than "unenjoyment" pays. I'll get some pics once I get it.... littleredrider 409 #3 Posted September 28, 2012 I'm on this site everyday, just never had anything worthy to post up, or any of my useless info to give out. Haven't done much to the ones that I have other than blowing the 854 apart to redo that. Waiting on the axle to get back. Frame is painted pretty, and started to tear the motor apart to put rings in it. It figures, had all summer to do stuff, now that it's getting a little cooler and start new job on Monday, getting another tractor and others that need work, now prolly complain I don't have time....Oh well, way it goes. littleredrider 409 #5 Posted September 28, 2012 I didn't get it yet, not till next Saturday. It's probly still on craigs, think it was under Binghamton if someone wants to check it out. I don't really have the money to get it now, that's why I'm not getting it till then. He has 3 others, can't think of what they are. Think only one has an engine.
