Ken B 3,189 #1 Posted September 27, 2012 I've known about this C-161 being available for a few yrs. now but I never pulled the trigger. I got a call from its original owner a few days ago wondering if I wanted to take a look at it. As they say, the rest is history! My son really likes it and we are planning a father/son full restoration on it over the winter. I was told it might smoke a tad on start up by him but I haven't seen any. The carb was way out of adjustment (new carb) It runs super strong. Part of the plans are ag tires out back, tri ribs up front and possibly a forward swept axle conversion. Overall it is a very tight and well kept tractor that can mow the yard tomm.

Ken B 3,189 #10 Posted September 27, 2012 In the pic the tractor is semi wet, its very faded and kinda chaulky when dry. There are a few minor issues that will require me to take things apart anyways. If it were a round hood in this shape I'd just clean it up and leave it be. Besides, if my son wants it restored I'm all for spending time with him, (he WILL help) anything to keep him away from that friggin X-box!
