414-8 for my son-inlaw ryan

hi guys, here is a few pics of a 414-8 i cleaned up and did normal maint. on. i got this 414 from a fellow western mass red square member. it was in very good shape. thanks glenn! if you follow this thread you'll remember i gave my other son-in-law dave a C160 last year. well i told ryan when you get a house i'll get you a wh. my daughter and ryan got a house earlier this year. sooo.... it will be enroute to his house in oak creek wisconsin. wheel weights, chains, 48 inch snowblade and 42 inch RD deck to go with it. plus an old school ariens walk behind 1032 snowblower. so if your close to route 90 you can wave as it goes by. the stack is a stainless steel shower safety grab bar from home depot with a tsc rain cap. my buddy mark did a super job cutting, fitting and welding the shower grab bar onto the original muffler. the rear has the awesome member made (smoreau) hitch. just can't have my son-in-laws riding around on a crapsman or mtd junk. no how no way! hope you like the pics. mike in mass.

That is a cool looking stack. Sure like to here her run and bet she sounds sweet. I like the way you guys come up with things ( a shower grab bar, fore petes sake) Remindes of my old hot rod days in the late 50s and the 60s Or as I use to say" I'm digging on it!!

If he's near an airport or on top of a Wisconsin ridge, I hope he won't need to mount aircraft warning lights on that stack!

Squirrels Too! That is a good looking Horse. I think the 416-8speed is probably one one of the best WH's ever produced.

hello men, ken, i used regular "ace" brand silver for the wheels. i know its not the true wh pewter color but, i like it. Krazyhorse, i got the idea for the stack from russ (saltywright) after seeing his diesel engine in his super nice 400 series. he told me he used a home depot shower bar. dbatlett1958, no more daughters thank GOD! boovuc, he does live near general mitchell airport. i didn't want to be breathing the exhaust. he can always cut it down a little if he wishes. best regards. mike in mass.
