fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted September 25, 2012 i just got a 520h (i think it's a 1988 or 89 it has the center hydro control) and it is sucking up oil into the air filter. it does not do this with the filter off. is this because the filter is dirty? There is a crankcase vent under the air filter housing, if this is filled with oil and grease it will suck it back up through the air filter. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fourwheels0 191 #3 Posted September 25, 2012 well it looks like it was just the filter being so dirty. put a new filter in and it stopped doing it. it runs great wide open but still hunts at mid and low idle. i'd guess it needs a good carb cleaning or rebuild.
