tilling with hydro

hi guys, looking for your input on tilling with a hydro. does it "push" the tractor alot? too much push? thanks mike in mass.

Done it a couple of times, it is a bit of a pain as it does push you around a bit especially when you hit a rock. Just have to keep a firm hand on the motion control lever and don't be afraid to jamb it in reverse to keep it under control.

But over all it ain't bad here are some results from last weekend

i like it when breaking new ground,i can go slower than the 8 speed,yes you have to adjust the motion lever alot but it works good

I've only tilled with an 8speed. Not much of a learning curve to it. Basically just put it in low and go.

& here is wheel-n-it tilling at our meet & greet ! sorry i don't have a wheelhorse tiller Yet but it is on my wish list. just have to make do with the gravely walk behinds. Jay

I have tilled with a C160 8 speed and a C141 hydro and preferred the 8 speed for better speed control but the hydraulic lift on the C141 made lifting the tiller a breeze.

i installed an extra lift assist spring to help with raising the tiller. Having two springs really helps make lifting the tiller manually almost effortless compared to just using one spring.
