Forest Road 594 #3 Posted September 23, 2012 I'll second that. I own one with a front end loader. Its a beast! there's no comparison between it and the old style WH's. Mine had leaking axle seals, which the dealer replaced. The hydro @ 1100 hours is still very strong. The forward/reverse linkage was loose and actually missing one nut. I couldn't get anymore than half speed out of it. 30 minutes of my time and I have full speed in both directions. I found mine at a dealer they replaced engine and trans oils as well as the filters. The dual range transmission is awesome. I have a 200 hour 314H and as for speed it doesnt come close to the xi. With the loader and the weight box its somewhere around 1700 lbs there's never a lack of power. The smart steer automatically slows the machine down with a turn of the steering wheel. While mowing at high speeds its pretty cool. I dont care for it with the loader. Without photos or a list of any problems its hard to tell you what its worth. Challenger 27 #4 Posted September 23, 2012 Hey Forest, As you probably know, Toro offers a part which will disable the Smart Steer feature. I'm told it's around $45 and might take an hour to install. Removing the part will restore the Smart Turn feature. When sharing my price range info. earlier I did not take into account the optional Loader attachment. A decent machine with a loader can be in the $4000 - $5000 range here in my neighborhood. They are scarce. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
