Agage1 83 #1 Posted September 18, 2012 hey guys i just got a free k 141, its all complete except for the regulator i'm planning to put it in my 552. my question is this, i have plenty of spare regulators for my 70's C-160s can i use one of those on the k141 just to try and get it started? Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted September 18, 2012 You do not need a reg to start the engine, gas to the carb, power to the + side of the coil, (remember to unhook when not starting or running) touch power to the batt. cable post to spin starter, I think it is the post closest to the engine, oh ya you need a ground from your power source, I start engines on the ground all the time, not even bolted to anything.
