Hammerhead 817 #1 Posted September 12, 2012 I finally took delivery this weekend on my new to me, 1966 Wheel Horse Model ST-326 Snow Thrower! It is in great original condition and I will leave it that way of course. The seller sold me my latest 1968 WH 500 Special a few weeks ago for $100.00 with no motor but it had the original mower deck. I was supposed to call him when I wanted the snow thrower that came with it. Well I lost his number until last week so I called him right after I found his Ph. #. He said he still had it, so come and get it anytime. I said I'd be over as soon as possible! So I drove 45 minutes one way and picked up this little gem for a mere $50.00!! Can't beat that, he said he got it at work, somebody scrapped out the whole pile! He works at the scrap yard so he paid about $50.00 bucks for it all! He found 2 old Rugg's last weekend and drug them home too. I guess it could be fun to work there! I hooked the snow thrower up to my 1965 875 hydro machine. I then noticed I didn't get a lift bar with it, I'll have to ask him if he has that part or I'll have to copy one from another earlier snow thrower I have. How does it look fella's? Thanks...Keith

Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted September 12, 2012 Your missing the idler bracket and pulley that mounts on the frame near the engine also, the belt should run up to the engine and the blower has a hand clutch built on to it, looks like a good deal for the money, I buy lots of stuff from the local scrap yard. Hammerhead 817 #4 Posted September 13, 2012 Thanks for the info Kelly! I got most of it hooked up tonight. I added a spring down low on the engagement lever. Also got the other lift bracket from my ST324 and put it on the ST326 and it seemed to fit correctly. I can make one but it has that FLAG part on the backend of the bracket, that would be hard to make. Got any laying around Kelly? I see them on Ebay every now and then. Looks like I need a big belt guard too, or did they need one? Thanks alot...Keith
Kelly 1,033 #5 Posted September 13, 2012 I'll have to see if I have any extra flags, I know I have a pile of them but I have a bunch of blowers also to sell, did you get a idler bracket and pulley to mount to the frame? I don't have any to sell but have one I can get a pic of. Send me a PM about the flag.
Hammerhead 817 #6 Posted September 15, 2012 Just Yeh Kelly I didn't get a idler bracket or pulley. There is a small idler pulley down below the big pulley on the snow thrower, you can barely see it in the close up picture. Can you send me a pic of one of yours? Do you have a flag to sell? No biggy if not, thanks...Keith
