dcrage 630 #3 Posted September 11, 2012 A side discharge deck on your 310-8 is probably a 42" (I doubt that you would have a 48" deck on there) -- The 37" SD only has 2 blades
Irv 115 #4 Posted September 11, 2012 :WRS: The part # is 111726 (new) for the complete assembly and there is one on ebay now. A little pricey or you can rebuild yours and the bearings are on there also. Just put in Wheelhorse spindle in search. Good luck
tunahead72 2,546 #5 Posted September 12, 2012 wrench191, I'm no expert, but before you order a spindle, I think you need to first nail down exactly which deck you have on your tractor. This isn't meant to be insulting, but are you certain it's a side discharge with 3 blades, each about 12" long? I believe Dave (dcrage) is correct that the 37" side discharge decks from that era only had 2 blades. But there's also at least one earlier 36" side discharge model (05-36MS01), and possibly others, that I believe had 3 blades. Is it possible one of these might have replaced the original deck on this tractor? There's different spindle assemblies out there that might work on your deck. And like Irv suggested, do you really need to replace the entire assembly, or can you possibly get away with just replacing the bearings? Photos might help. Don1977 605 #6 Posted September 12, 2012 It can be an older 36" side discharge all Tac-a-matic bases will fit . With the worn blades they could be 12", they were some like 12 1/4" new.
wrench191 0 #7 Posted September 12, 2012 It is a 42 inch deck and I have found where I can buy a new one.The aluminum part is broken or I would put new bearings in it. I have a nonrunning c-120 that I will rob a spindle from if it will fit.
