MR49 20 #1 Posted September 7, 2012 Its prolly not much but it will be fun to restore. I got it with a deck and extra rear wheels and tires. She runs like a champ! Not bad for less than a $100

JackC 617 #4 Posted September 7, 2012 Nice. Looks like it is ready to work. Maybe find a belt cover to dress it up a little.
MR49 20 #5 Posted September 7, 2012 I have a belt cover but some crazy person braised some chicken wire on it to cover up the moving cooling fan screen.?.?
AMC RULES 37,204 #6 Posted September 7, 2012 A lot of tractor for the money.
MR49 20 #7 Posted September 7, 2012 Thats what I thought. The man I got it from said he got it for his grandchildren to drive around the yard, but he could never get it to run right. Turns out all he had to do is put the condenser on the neg side of the coil.
Martin 2,133 #8 Posted September 7, 2012 glad you got it running right. looks good. will be a good candidate for a restore. the 1075 is one of those unique short frame/big block horses. thats a tight fit in there for all that motor.

Kelly 1,033 #11 Posted September 7, 2012 it is a unique machine I've always liked them, I have 2 of them, first year for the square hood, first year for the hydro, only year they put a big block Kohler in a short frame tractor, I'm not saying they are rare just unique no other model can say all that. MR49 20 #12 Posted September 7, 2012 Cool, I didnt know all that. I feel ive got something to be proud of now. I just thought it was another Garden Tractor. The more I get on the forums the more I see these Wheel Horses are one of the best. Not only that but looking back to the big block, square hood and hydro all in this model first. Super cool!!! Im very happy with it for sure. Im still trying to work the bugs out of her though. Seems to have a fuel problem still, but not sure. That or it just gets hot and dies out. What ever I guess. I will try and look up some trouble shooting stuff on those two things. Thanks for the comments! You all have some very nice tractors as well. One day I hope to get mine to look as good as them.
