Recommended Posts

Have seen a couple of hitches prob called the draw bar hictch with a standard lookin' ball attached. Is there one that originally had a whole that large and up tuned rather than low slung...if that makes sense.

Thanks>g...47

Not that I know of. All the hitches to take a trailer ball have been home rigged to do so.

I picked up a garden tractor ball from TSC with a 5/8" shank, I had to open the hole in the draw bar hitch a little for it to fit, then I cheated and run the nut up by hand till tight, then marked a spot on the treads right below the nut took it back off and drilled a hole at the mark on the shank so I could put a cotter pin in the hole to keep the nut from backing off, that way I could put the ball on and off with out tools but still have the nut on it.

If you are savy with a lathe or know someone who is, you can cut the threaded part off and drill and tap a smaller hole in the ball. I did this so I could easily put one on my clevis hitch with a 1/2 inch bolt

Good idea, I see em on the hwy and interstate often, but always missing stud or nut. I'll try the good ole home remedy like ya'll. Kelly there is someone lookin' for mower deck wheels in classified if you've not seen the ad.
