1963,653 two piece gas tank question

On our forum I have found the rubber gasket number to be #4452. Is that correct? Also what is involved in doing this repair? I sort of need a heads up on this to repair a lleaking gas tank. As I said this is for a 653 2 piece tank. Thank you
