Lane Ranger 11,434 #1 Posted August 31, 2012 I got out the Wheel Horse Lawn Ranger today and used my Snapper 28 inch dethatcher and my Brinly 40 inch STAR aerator on the lawn. This years drought casued several matted and havily thatched spots in the lawn and I ususally use the dethatcher and the aerator each Fall. The coming rains of Issac to the Midwest on Saturday and Sunday casued me to get motivated and I got about an hour and a hald seat time today on my 1967 Lawn Ranger. The dethatcher worked nice and I filled one large 55 gallon trach can of thatched grass residue. I used two half flat blocks on the dethatcher for weight and added an anvil made from a railroad rail of the aeartor ! The aerator worked well and placed holes in all parts of the lawn. I am hoping Issac will fill them and soak the lawn ! Here are some photos:

Lane Ranger 11,434 #4 Posted August 31, 2012 I have some vinyl leg covers that came with some chairs my daughter ordered and I kept them and put them over the lift handles when the tractors are in storage. You can still push the button on the top! I just don't take them off unless they are traveling in trailer.
