701 & 702 steering the same???

Recommended Posts

Hi all, Haven't posted in a while. My 702 has some steering issues. The vertical shaft gear is missing a tooth & the bottom of the horizontal shaft, where the tie rod connects is broke off & the hole was redrilled higher up. Only problem is the thing won't turn very sharp now because of the shorter throw. A member has a 701 w/good steering & I need to know if the parts are the same/interchangable before I bother him about them. Thanks for the help in advance.

Thanks for the info guys. I didn't think of T-BAN. All his stuff is nice, Not sure if he would have parts. Tyson, the mayor of Firth Neb, is going to try to get the parts from his "yard art" 701. Hopefully they won't be too hard to get out. (rusty ect) If so, I'll keep ya in mind. Thanks for the offer. P.S. sorry just realized everything is underlined.

Unfortunately you have to live in the city (I mean village) limits to be mayor....but I do think I would be a good politician (whatever that means) :techie-eureka::eusa-think:

The parts are off (surprisingly they came off really easy!!!!) :bow-blue:

:woohoo: Hopefully , the two parts are still only two parts & no sawsalls or torches were used for quick removal. The 702 will be gratefull to have full use of it's limbs one again. :greetings-clappingyellow:
