Swap or no Swap?

Recommended Posts

I had a little time to work on the C-125 this week. I am considering swaping one of the 18 horse motors out of a D Series in place of the 12HP Kohler. Both of my D series have shot hydro pumps right now. I probably wont need that much power but I am a man you know and more power has to be better right???LOL I also have a c-175 with a series one motor that I may swap with also. Just dont know if the 17HP motor runs or not. Should I just stick with the 12HP Kohler and get the D's going later in life? Decisions, Decisions... If I do swap what all will I need?

Dont know if its a easy bolt in....but what harm is it to have more HP to play around with.....then put back in the D later on..... :twocents-02cents:

I don't think you'll be able to put the hood back on.

I think the crank will set to high, they have a tall oil pan, you might want to measure that before you start.

Twelve horse drinking gasoline can do a lot of work.
