Any way to tell what year my 308-8 is... no sticker that I could find

308-8's were made 3 years according to what I could find. Is there any way to date my tractor by just looking at it?

Without a model number, about all I can tell you is it's not a really early 1986 model - I think they went to the Magnum engines mid-year. Others with more experience, please? And yes, they were only made from '86-'88. Good looking machine - new acquisition?

You may well be right about that, Don....I was going from memory of something I thought I read quite a while back. Old age creeping in! (lol)

I've narrowed it down to '86 or '87. Those years had the front spindles held in place with cotter pins. 1988 they used retaining rings.

Latest and final for a while, great running machine. It never cut a blade of grass in its life. It was a tractor that drug a fence for a schools ball field. Steering is nice and tight and had regular service done by 2 different dealers, hence the surplus of stickers, now removed...

I have a very good monitor, and I enlarge the picture slightly, I don't see any zerks.

zieg72 said it had the holes for the zerts.
