Check out Martins 1054 thread. I am fairly sure he bought a new switch for his.

If its just the key you need you can get one from a Massey Fergusson dealer.

I got a new switch two/three years ago from Ebay. Just look for a simple on/off switch - they are out there.

yeah mike, i bought a new switch. different style to that one though......

ive not seen one of the two prong switches before and not sure which models even had one. does anybody know if they are original on a 953? the switch i used on my 1054 was a cole hersee 95597 if i remember correctly..... im not sure that is the original style switch though. it has the long hencol key.

and they are expensive.....

Hello Rick, I am certain the key pictured is correct for a 953 / 1054 ignition switch, however; one way to check is if "Cole Boston 8394 Pat. Pend" is stamped on the key. The ignition switch is also stamped with "Cole Boston" on it. Mark.
