Where would one sell a C-81?

I have a 1978 C-81 we've had since new. It has a rebuilt K-181, 42" rear discharge deck and new non-Wheelhorse seat. I'd rather not sell but space dictates that it needs to go. For it's age, it is in excellent condition with the original paint worn. The original brake should be replaced and I believe the 1/8" spacer for the PTO needs to be installed. (which I'll do if worth it) Since the rebuilt motor, it's mowed my .4 acre lawn 2 times. I have a set of spare blades and maybe an extra deck spindle too. I even have it's original manual!

What's it worth in New England? Where should I advertise it?

Thank you,

Brian

If it is the one on Craigslist from Westfield, I do not believe that is a 42 inch deck.

The deck housing may measure 42 inches side to side, but it looks more like a 36 inch deck where the blades cut a path 36 inches wide.

$600 is a good stating point if you can get it. You can always come down from there.

The rebuilt motor justifies starting out at $600.

That model makes a great lawn mower due to the economical and relatively quiet 8 horse.

It also has plenty of weight and power for general yard duty.

I like mine but I will be replacing it with a bigger machine.
