Keep an eye out on evil-bay and post up on "The Other Tractor Forums".

Belt guards are the most needed item when it comes to RJ restorations, so they can at times get pricy. Keep in mind that exhaust heat shields were an option for the RJ58/9's so they are not required for a compete resto but, are a really nice addition.

Norm's Toys is the place to buy a "new" muffler guard for your RJ tractor. Part #3588 .

He is resonable on price and can send it in the mail to you in about ten days based upon one I bought and paid for in advance.

Here is the link:

Also I bought a Harley Davidson softail chrome heat shield that has two holes drilled in it already that pretty well match up the size of muffler guard you need (these can be bought on Ebay for a resonable cost and probably through a Harley Davidson dealer if you had a part number). They look nice on the tractor.

Here is a picture of mine:

And a picture of mine next to my Part # 3588 Muffler Guard made by Norm Steinman:

On the RJ-59 that I had I took a chrome exhaust elbow you can buy at any auto store, and had a friend with a band saw cut it in half length wise and the tig welded them together to make it the correct length.
