KC9KAS 4,741 #2 Posted August 5, 2012 I just got a package deal....FEL and a D-200. I will (someday) get this all fixed and put together and the D is an automatic transmission. I am fixing a GT-14 up for my snow plowing machine, and it too is an automatic. I guess I am saying the automatics would be best for FEL's and snow plowing, as you can change your ground speed without having to stop, clutch, shift and operate the plow/FEL controls at the same time. JackC 616 #3 Posted August 13, 2012 I would go with the C-120 hydro. The bigger the better and hydro over 8-speed.
dodge78 90 #4 Posted August 13, 2012 Put a 300 lb guy on the front of the tractor and see which one is easier to steer. Mine is on a C160-8 , I have 418-A I am fixing the transmission on and will try that this winter for snow. I think a hydro foot pedal would help some too.
