Wheelhorse84 87 #1 Posted August 1, 2012 My local repair shop is trying to sell a 522 with 800 hours with a 42 inch deck with hydro lift and the 2 speed trans. He wants 1800 for it. It's in good shape. I usually go for the older styles so I don't know of this fair or not. Any help would be appreciated.
Hodge71 665 #2 Posted August 1, 2012 I personally like the 522/523 DXI machines. I would say $1800 is pretty fair. Most of these machine pushed $8000 when purchased new with a deck. If you like it, grab it. I had a 523DXI for sale by me early this year for $2200 with a deck, snow/dirt blade, broadcast spreader, and 44" 2 stage snowblower. It had a little over 500 hours on it and it was very clean. I had no job so it went by the wayside for me....
Challenger 27 #3 Posted August 1, 2012 I think that is a fair price. A clean, low hour 522xi can bring $3000 - $3500 plus here in New York. Machines with the 800 hours you mention can bring $2000 - $2500 plus if really well maintained and still clean and good looking. These tractors are versatile, have a very tight turning radius, and with power steering are a pleasure to operate.
