Kelly 1,031 #2 Posted July 22, 2012 What ever you use the bottom has to be removable to add fuel, or at least tip up to get fuel in, I have a orig. 953 seat frame in very good shape, with a back rest but it is shot, for a pattern only, if you want to go orig. I thought maybe someone had located something similar.

bean 85 #5 Posted July 23, 2012 after looking at a few pics, I think a lawn ranger seat could work, also. is there a source for a replacement seat cover? if nothing else, I may get a ford 8n seat and cover from ebay. it is just for a project, not a restoration. Lane Ranger 11,132 #6 Posted July 29, 2012 The seat on this 1054 tractor has one replacement seat answer for the 953/1054 tractor. This is my dad's favorite 1054 t use. The black seat has a hole for rainwater to drain out in the back and can be tipped up as it is on two steel bars that have been welded in to the frame above the gas tank (CAUTION: tank will have to be drained or taken out before installing this) and it rides very nice on the tractor with a longer back on it than the original seats. You just about see the "hinge" on the front bar under the seat that allows the seat to be lifted forward when it would rain outside and to fill the gas tank. joel_400 59 #7 Posted July 29, 2012 I talked to a guy the other day about making some seats. He guessed somewhere between 40-80. Ive got to get my seat off and show it to him and go from there. If anyone is interested keep in touch. Jo
