hbrooks49 12 #1 Posted July 18, 2012 I have a Wheel Horse C-105 that came with a snowblower and the long arm but no flag. I ordered a new flag on ebay and was a little surprised when it arrived and there was no bracket for the assist spring eye-bolt. After a bit of research it appears that the flags with the brackets were supplied with the assist spring kit to replace the regular flag which had no bracket. I guess it will work OK without the spring, I'll just have to pull a little harder. I was wondering if anyone has come up with an alternative arrangement to mount the spring that doesn't involve welding (drilling is OK, just don't have a welder)... Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Henry
Sparky-(Admin) 23,157 #2 Posted July 18, 2012 Have you tried installing it and lifting it manually? They lift pretty easy if you use the correct hole in the lift arm and you may find you dont need the spring. Mike.......
hbrooks49 12 #3 Posted July 18, 2012 Nice to see a picture of it hooked up without the spring - that and your comments give me a little faith. Haven't tried a dry run yet but I will the next time I take the deck off to clean it.. Thanks very much for the information, all the pictures I've found before showed the hookup with the spring assist kit.... If I don't need the spring that would be great - I'm glad I got it at a hardware store instead of through Toro.... Thank you, Henry
