Tractor ID by engine number

I've got a k-181s spec number 30582d. What tractor did it come from?

If you go to Kohler they show spec 30582 for Toro. Go to Toro and it does not show up.

None of my files show it either but, I know it was on a wheel horse.

That serial number dates it at 1974 - at which time Wheel Horse and Toro had no affiliation. (engines built for Wheel Horse are listed as such)

Since the engine is listed as being built for Toro, then it was on a Toro machine - not a Wheel Horse.

I went through a few '74/'75 Toro machines and can't find anything using a K-181 with that spec number, but some engines are listed only by Toro part number and it might be hidden. :confusion-shrug:
