Jake Kuhn 1,579 #1 Posted July 15, 2012 Help!! I finally have someone from a different forum interested in my d and now the bearings on one wheel went junk on me. They are 1" and the outside is 1 7'8" I can't seem to find any. If you guys know of anywhere where I can get them that would really help me. Thanks Jake

73-18 automatic 8 #5 Posted July 15, 2012 You can get them on partstree.com but good luck finding them. This is why I changed my front wheel to trailer hubs.

wheeledhorseman 579 #7 Posted July 15, 2012 They had fallen out, just ended up finding them and ended up still being good. Thanks for the help,Jake A lucky find given the cost of a replacement but I think the topic is still an important one. When I was restoring my D-200 I discovered through my local bearing stockist that this odd size is specific to WH and the global database the stockist used showed that there were none at that size available anywhere in the world. I gathered that this is because they were made specifically for Toro/WH and as part of the contract the manufacturer is not allowed to distribute them to anyone other than via Toro. The same thing occurs in the motorcycle and automobile industry. The long term issue is that Toro will be having no more made and some parts stockist are already listing them as 'unavailable'. So as existing stocks held run out it seems likely that adapting the axle may become the only option. I considered shortening the tube on each side and making a sleeve to weld onto it that would take the standard size 2" OD flanged bearing but, given the time and effort it would take, took the easier route though I did find a set of NOS bearings for a bit less than the Toro price. Would be interested to hear of any other ideas for getting round this one. Andy
