darren 49 #1 Posted July 13, 2012 Hi all, if anyone has a side discharge deck nozzle or knows where I could get one (I've looked but I haven't found anywhere here that sells a universal one) I'm on the lookout! They look to be a difficult thing to create, especially for someone who doesn't possess any fabrication skills!

wheeledhorseman 579 #4 Posted July 15, 2012 I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to here darren. Are we talking about attaching a vacuum bagger? If so then I believe 'Farmer' has one and may be able to help in terms of how you could make something up to do the job. Send him a pm. Andy
darren 49 #5 Posted July 16, 2012 Hi Andy, The part I'm thinking of is the kind of fitting that's attached to the deck of this 270; it's not the Powerflo attachment, for clarification I bought Rex's Powerflo bagger in fact; he very kindly sold it to me. I've got a 48" deck that I'm going to try an hook up to a Terra-Vac. Being a cylcone-type, the Terra-Vac already has a huge, engine-driven impellor; I think if I can find a way of hooking up the 250mm hose to the deck, I'll have something capable of tackling large areas of grass qute quickly. I've not had much look tracking down any genuine WH/Toro deck-fittings, which'd make the deck interface a doddle. It looks as though a Honda one may do the trick though. A quick bit of measurements looks promising at least. We'll see...
Don1977 605 #6 Posted July 16, 2012 The old Wheel Horse style doesn't flip up they are mounted under the deck on 42" and 48" mowers. Wheel Horse called them "Chute Extensions". The 42" and 48" use different chutes. They are good for stopping up the discharge chute in heavy grass and leaving large clumps of grass in the yard is why they were removed.
