Fordiesel69 271 #1 Posted July 11, 2012 The seat in question has a white center and black edges. It is an all one piece without any springs or dampers on the bottom. Does anyone have a nice accurate picture so I can have a local company remake an exact match. Or does anyone know where to get one? I know there are tons of universals on ebay which I am not interested in.
Fun Engineer 859 #2 Posted July 11, 2012 How's this? You really need a pattern or at least the original metal pan to make a good cover that will fit right.
SousaKerry 503 #3 Posted July 11, 2012 I know there was some talk awhile back about contracting an upholstery shop to make many of these for us, but I do not know whatever became of this. Kelly didn't you have a local shop make a few?
Fun Engineer 859 #4 Posted July 11, 2012 I had the this seat cover at the show in PA to see what interest there was in having more made. I only had one person interested. He was interested at $35. If there is more interest I can see about having some made. I can also get them with a black center. My cost is $40 so I would need to charge that plus what ever shipping and handling would be. My guess is that S&H would be around $8-$10 for a total cost of $50 or less. These are just covers that you pull a cord through to tighten them around the original seat pan. Buyer would need to provide their own foam and seat pan. Is there any interest? Dave

Kelly 1,033 #7 Posted July 12, 2012 I bought a few at the Mentone swap meet this year, the guy can't remember who right now had all black or white and black, $36 each no foam, I had a shop add the foam to one it cost $40 for the foam, the white and black is for 65-66 in 67 they went all black and I think it was a 2 piece seat but still the same seat pan. Fun Engineer 859 #10 Posted July 12, 2012 I'm heading north for the weekend. I'm going to wait to see how many more people are interested over the weekend and on Monday I'll contact the person that makes these for me and see what I can get started. I think I'll have a couple extra of each made just in case there is more interest later.
