A-75181 looks like a 1964 serial number so may be a 42" model SMS-42-A or a 50" model SMS-50. Which one is it?

This site shows approximate pricing and availability: IPL's at PartsTree

Unfortunately, almost every piece except a few common seals, keys, etc. is obsolete and has been for some time.

the replaceable teeth are still available. i saw them two years ago at the wheel horse show. somebody here must know the MFG of them. i bought one, googled the part number on the tooth and found the mfg. unfortunately i don't know where it is now.

Did Wheel Horse ever make a sickle mower for the 74 and newer with the attach-a-matic set up?

according to Martino's book "straight from the horses mouth", they stopped offering the sickle bar attachment in 1969.

I don't know if Wheel Horse made one, but I saw an 80s Wheel Horse (312 or 314 maybe? can't remember) with a sickle bar mower at the Portland, IN swap meet this spring. I don't think it was made by Wheel Horse because it was a different color. Yellow if memory serves.

Thanks for the info. I have a real need for an attachment like for my 180 foot of frontage ditch. Currently my son mows it with a push mower, takes 45 minutes and a tank of gas...

"OEM" Wheel Horse sIckle bar mowers were capable of being fitted to the "standard" garden tractors up until at least 1977. The mid-hitch has to be removed and the mower gets bolted directly to the tractor frame and the transaxle mount. They do not use the Attach-Matic mounting system.

Haban and Didier both offered sickle mowers to fit many WH models.
