Doubletrouble 10 #1 Posted June 27, 2012 My '38 Massey 101 is up and running for the most part. The thing I am curious about is this: When the tractor is running shouldn't the carb float bowl be full? There is a drain valve in the bowl, if I open it with the engine running no gas comes out. As soon as I shut it down gas comes pouring out. While running it seems to get plenty of fuel to the engine though. If i leave it sit for a sec (not running) with the valve closed the bowl fills up just fine so the float level should be ok. I just figured there should be gas coming out of the drain even if it is running. Any input?
