jcb857 161 #1 Posted June 24, 2012 I got a phone call from my brother and he said he knows some one that has some old wheel horse tractors in his barn and he wants them gone. I asked him if he new how old they were and he said the guy told him that he bought one brand new and the other one he got some time after. I could not wait to go see them but I had to wait a week before he would be able to let me check them out. That was one long week. I checked them out a brought them home with me.

Jake Kuhn 1,579 #7 Posted June 24, 2012 Those are some really nice find. It would be cool if you restored the one with the missing motor and left the complete one just the way it is. That would make for a cool display at shows. Jake

fireman 1,022 #14 Posted June 25, 2012 I had a total brain fart looking at that last picture. Just looked at it again. What was I thinking!
rj35hunter 289 #15 Posted June 25, 2012 Wow, those look great. The complete one would look cool just cleaned up & get it functionable for the show next year to be displayed as an "original barn find". I am bringing our original 401 next year to the show. It's amazing how there are still some of these tractors so complete & put up to be forgotten. The only thing I see missing is the heat shield. It even has the original fairbanks & morse recoil with the screen still in it. Nice find & good luck! Clay
