I'm sure most of you have seen this "Hand Crafted Toy Tractor Wheel Horse Replica and Plow" on ebay, well I asked the guy what is reserve is and...to my surprise he replies $249.

:omg: are you serious, I didnt even reply to that.

Does anyone think thats a good price or on the same line as me and believe thats way up there?

For something that corny looking with the decals made off a label maker, I'd say its WAY up there and needs to come down for a crash landing.

Same guy has been making them and selling them on ebay for several years. He still swears they are authentic...... I think he needs to quit tipping the bottle so high!

If anyone is interested in building one, I am selling decals for $12.50 and will throw in a gas cap and mule drive knob on orders of two or more.

Pat this one is ALL homemade, I think it's kinda cool for a arts and crafts thing, but not $249 cool, I have it in watch, and figured the reserve would be about $50

Do a search using this phrase-

Hand Crafted Toy Tractor Wheel Horse Replica and Plow

I think it's a nice interpretation of a Wheel Horse and IMHO I wouldn't pay that much, but he does have time in it .Looks like a good book case addition when your done spending money on the "Big" Wheel Horses!

WOW! I am shocked that he wants that much for it! I also have it on my watch list, but like Kelly, I thought that he would want around $50 for it. At the current bid of $36, he has got a long way to go!

I think it looks pretty cool, and that's how much he values it's worth.

Nuff said. :teasing-poke:

I thought at the MOST it would $75 reserve. I had to take a "double take" when his reply came to me. :jaw:

If that thing is worth that, what is a plastic one from the 60s worth that was modeled off the wheel horse suburban?

I was high bidder. I asked what he wanted for it. His reply was 249. Its kinda like when a guy restores a tractor and wants double what it's worth cause of all his time vested. But still it was pretty cool.

How many of us have our own little treasures (whatever they may be) that we set a dollar amount on that's far above what it's really worth because we don't really want to sell? Everything has a price. You don't have to like the price, but don't belittle the guy for throwing it out there. You never know, this could have been an appraisal auction. To see what the market would produce if he popped out a few more of these. Just a check to see if it's worth the time.
