redhorse100 4 #1 Posted June 21, 2012 hi i picked up a b-111 a several weeks back. came with a rear discharge deck that i took off trailer and put in shed while getting the b-111 running first. guy told me its a 36 inch 0r 37 rear discharge. i think it might be a 42. how do you tell or what do you measure from where to where? i think i read on here something about the number of rollers on the front. one for 37 and three four a 42? the b-111 is a 1978 and the deck looks to be the one one that came with mower. it has three rollers on the front. any info would help so i could a belt for it thanks joe
SousaKerry 503 #2 Posted June 21, 2012 Pictures will help but generally you measure outer blade tip to outer blade tip. How many blades is it have? does the deck look like a triangle(36") or are the blades in line (42"). If it is still there it should have a tag on the left side near the wheels model should be something like 05-42MR01. The number decodes like this 05= mower 42=size M=mower R=rear discharge 01=revision number

546cowboy 302 #4 Posted June 22, 2012 Here is a picture of an older 36" deck. The second picture is a 42" deck. The third picture is a 48" deck. One of the 42's has three rollers on the front and the 48 has three.
redhorse100 4 #5 Posted June 22, 2012 thanks for the pictures. it is not the 36 because mine has three wheels in the front. so mine must be a 42 inch rear discharge. someone gave me the number off of a 79 deck mine is a 78. punched up toro site and mine matches up with the 42 inch deck. thanks for the pictures joe w
