Agage1 83 #1 Posted June 21, 2012 Is there any tiller attachments that can fit the 310-8, or any that could be modified to fit. And what kind of power would I need to run one? I have a kohler k241 10 hp. I'm starting the rebuild and machine work this week, I can get more power out of it if it's needed to run the tiller Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
420-LSE 0 #2 Posted June 21, 2012 There is a tiller that will fit a 310-8. All attachments for 300,400 & 500 series are interchangeable with a couple of exceptions. Wheelhorse might have a recommended hp for the tiller but 10hp should do it since you wont be using any power to drive the machine. I would look around for a used one at a fraction of the new price. I'm sure there will be a few for sale at the Wheel Horse show this weekend in Penn. Why not take aride to the show and see whats there? I think one of our Redsquare members even has one advertised in our classified section and he says he's going to the show with it. Mike..... can whlvr 994 #8 Posted June 22, 2012 ya this topic has popped up now and again,hp required to run a tiller,i have a 36 inch 7-1252,a 75 that will fit on allmost all wheelhorse garden tractors,thats the nice thing about these tractors,from 1973 to 2007 most attachments fit,here is a pic of the one i have,and a 10hp might run her with patience and as mentioned depends what your doing,i also live in red clay country and i run her on a 414 and it can use most of her power.but thats here,ive run it at other areas,and in black decent soil and the governor doesnt even kich in Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I see a spring assist and a bar coming down to the tiller with a chain on the side. I am torn between using a B-100 and a C-121 as a dedicated tractor to the tiller. I have the manuals and some of the different assembly guidance documents but I am always interested in how people make it better thatn the original ! can whlvr 994 #10 Posted July 19, 2012 i dont have a pic right now lane,but the spring attaches to the top of one of the axle bracket bolts,the other end goes to the bracket(bar with a 90 degree bend on the end with a hole driller in it,a threaded eye bolt goes through the hole on the end of the flat bar,the spring hooks to the eye bolt,then you tighten up the eye bolt to put tension on the spring,i asumme its factory because im the second owner and it was only used a few times,if you need i will do it no problem for you,but later in the week cause wifey has camera and shes away for a couple of days,but i have her hooked up right now and can get a shot of it for people to see Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
