farmerall 23 #1 Posted June 16, 2012 I want to replace the right front spindle on my WH electro 12 becasue I bent the tab were the tie rod attaches. A friend of mine found the part number for the spindle and a new one was still available from Toro. The part number is 115426. I bought the new one and went to put it on today and noticed a few diiferences that make me wonder if it is a updated spindle or the wrong part. The spindle fits fine also. Can some one give me their opinion on if the part is right and I should use it or should I find another spindle. The new spindle on the left and the old on the right. The old one has a bolt that holds the wheel on and the new one uses a cotter pin. Notice the difference in the thickness of the tabs for the tie rod, the new one is a good bit thicker and the hole were the tie rod bolts in is larger than the bolt. The hole in the old one is just big enough for the bolt to fit through.
can whlvr 994 #2 Posted June 16, 2012 that looks like the ones from the newer tractors, maybe its the new replacement and the bolt type are no longer available, you could put a small brass sleve inside the new hole to take up the slack,i got spindles on the old forum from a vendor here and got them WAY cheaper than new ones, and i got a matching pair, the metal part on the old spindle may be repairable with some heat and a hammer,or is it trashed totally
