bean 85 #1 Posted June 15, 2012 just finished installing new 23x8.50-12 deestone ags on the 310-8. just thought I would give you a little info, in case someone is considering them. I mounted them on 7" wheels. the height of the tires on 7" wheels is 22" and the width is 7.5" .mine are the 4ply version. the fit and finish on them is nice for an inexpensive tire. they were $93 for the pair, plus shipping, from GCT. now, the only downside, these tires ride ROUGH on hard surfaces, including my yard that hasn't had any rain for a week or two. we stated with 20psi, as recommended. then we went to 15psi, then 10psi. I have read a few threads that suggest 5psi.. my experience with these tires has been, the less pressure, the bumpier the ride. on the positive side, they will probably do very well in dirt and mud, as the rough ride indicates an aggressive tread pattern. the lug profile is very flat and that's a good thing for dirt/mud. so, in my opinion, they are well worth the relatively low price. :)
dbartlett1958 99 #2 Posted June 15, 2012 Looks Great. I plan to use the same tires on my 416-H when I change them later this fall.

KC9KAS 4,744 #8 Posted June 16, 2012 Tires look good. Do you have inner-tubes in the tires? I would think with lower air pressure, the ride would be smoother!
bean 85 #9 Posted June 16, 2012 so they look really great,id like to do them on one,but dont think they would be a good choice for a mowing machine, great on the plow yeah, I am putting the turfs back on until garden time.
bean 85 #10 Posted June 16, 2012 Do you have inner-tubes in the tires? I would think with lower air pressure, the ride would be smoother! no inner tubes needed. it looks like the lower the air pressure, the flatter the profile gets and the bumpier. we went the other way and put in 25lbs, and the ride smoothed out considerably. Sparky-(Admin) 23,277 #11 Posted June 16, 2012 I have a complete set of those for the front and rear Mike............. Mike, what front tires do you have? tri-ribs? Nope, they are matching AG's. 16 x 6.50 x 8's. Gives the tractor a cool look but a rough ride, and I aired em down plenty! For what its worth I have found that my tractors with 2 ply turfs give the best traction as the tire will "bend or mold": to the terrain your going over. I tried the AG's in the winter but the 2 plies beat the AG's in the snow hands down. Mike.............

Mike............. yeah, ags all around do look good I am looking at tri ribs for the front. I have read a lot of good reviews about their performance in the dirt and ,especially, the snow. hm12460 53 #15 Posted June 16, 2012 Got the same ones on my 312, with the tri-ribs on the front. GCT seems to be really good to do business with.
bean 85 #16 Posted June 16, 2012 Got the same ones on my 312, with the tri-ribs on the front. can you post a few pics? did you go with 8" wheels, or use the stock 6" wheels and get the 3.50-6 tri-ribs from deestone?
JackC 617 #17 Posted June 20, 2012 They look great. That tread design is needed for certain applications since the turf treads will just sit and spin. I tried to push some dirt with my D-160 with turf treads and lots of weight on the back and the turf treads were useless for that application.

Yep, the aggressive tires such as AG's are the best for dirt work. But if snow removal is the chore of the day those turfs with all the weight you mentioned are the way to go. They beat AG's hands down! Mike..........
bean 85 #19 Posted June 25, 2012 just out of curiosity, does anyone have deestone 23x8.50-12 turf tires? I need a new set of 23" turf tires and am pretty happy with the deestone ags.
