1966 656 HH60 blowin gas out carb sucking air through crank case tube

656 hh60 blowin gas out carb acts like its starving for gas and sucking air threw crank case breather tube turnef main jet it gas stops blowing but then it will die plese help

the breather is normal, usually if the engine is lean the carb wont spit gas only when rich, try adjusting the carb leaner. if the adjustments dont fix it you will most likely need a carb rebuild. If you need a carb kit, there's a casting number on the carb you can bring that number along with your engine model and spec numbers to your local small engine shop and they can order a carb kit for you.

Check you float o ring(the little white one). I had a similar problem after rebuilding one it was in upside down and was not seated all the way in. The rounded ID should face the float needle, i use a small drill turned backwards to shove the o ring down fully

needle seat was not all the way down fixed that but what should the needle in the side which is a air ajustment needle right begining to dis like techumse gettin close though thank you guys for helpin

im pretty sure i found my problem got it to stay running but unscred dip stick to check for blow by wow oil every where lol think ring or rings are stuck or worn out

That engine along with alot of other air cooled single cylinder engines are splash oiled.

so yea there will be LOTS of oil come out that hole.

dip stick should not be removed while it is running.

proper way to check valves and or rings is with a leak down tester.

if it was properly rebuilt they should be fine.
