jimbo7921 8 #2 Posted June 12, 2012 if you happen to add to much oil to the secondary air filter that goes over top of the primary one it will leak down the tube. Had this happen to me and really freaked me out. You only need a few drops of oil on the secoundary filter.
woodchuckfarmer 333 #3 Posted June 12, 2012 Check your valve clearences, if thay get to tight it will cause this prablem. It could a valve seat comming out of the block too. Ive had this problem.
mattd860 162 #4 Posted June 13, 2012 Like woodchuck said, check the valve clearances and the valve seats. The seats can be easily seen from under the valve covers. Also verify that the breather vent has a filter installed. If the valves and seats are good and the filter is installed then you probably have a broken piston ring or very worn rings. Something is causing excessive crankcase pressure therefor causing oil to mist out of the breather and most likely it's the valves or rings.
muz 0 #5 Posted June 13, 2012 Thanks for your help. Come to find out that the float wasn't working properly and gas was being dumped into the engine and got into the crankcase. In process of changing oil and have to go and buy a new oil filter. Muz
